Pupil Premium and added value activities
To date we have received £6600 in Pupil Premium funding for the 2017-2018 financial year.
In the financial year 2016-2017 we received £13780.
We use this funding to provide a variety of added value activities within the school. These have included subsidising pupils to participate in extra curricular activities and residential trips. We also provide musical instrument tuition and curriculum linked activity days.
The Pupil Premium funding is primarily used to close the gaps and address inequalities for those children who are from low income families.
We provide one to one and small group support for children in the classroom and through the delivery of intervention programmes. Our teaching assistants have been funded to attend training to support children in this way. We employ one teaching assistant 27.5 hours each week to support pupils in receipt of Pupil Premium funding who need support to access the curriculum. We have funded this teaching assistant to train as a dyslexic support tutor.
We have employed a SENCO to assess pupils' individual needs.
Activities and resources are provided for those who need greater challenge.
