Ethos & Values
AIMS OF THE SCHOOL
The aims of our thriving, small, rural community school are to develop:
We have the highest expectations of everyone within our community.
To promote and pursue excellence and achievement for each pupil to develop their abilities and skills to their maximum potential.
Staff, governors, pupils and parents at Bedfield School work together to nurture the academic, personal and moral development of every child in our care.
To create and maintain an ethos which encourages excellence, self-reliance, co-operation, enthusiasm and initiative.
CHALLENGE AND UNDERSTANDING
To deliver the National Curriculum with a particular view to fostering opportunities to use technology to enhance learning.
To prepare pupils for life in the wider community and beyond. As a Voluntary Controlled school we value our partnership with the Church of England and actively celebrate Christian festivals, fostering a tolerance and understanding of other beliefs.
To foster a partnership in learning between children, staff, parents, Governors and the local community.
