The School Governors are local people representing the parents and community in important matters involving the school and the Education Authority.
The Governors, in co-operation with the Headteacher, are concerned with the educational provisions and maintenance of the school.
School governance is a strategic role. For example, governors take an active role in developing school policies and work in partnership with staff on the School Development Plan. The day-to-day details of teaching and school business are the responsibility of the Headteacher and the staff.
Termly meetings, coupled with frequent visits, mean that the Governors are able to carry out their responsibilities.
All Governors are willing to be approached by any parent who feels that they would like to speak about school matters.
