SEND
Our son has additional needs and we have found it hard to find a suitable school for him. When we found Bedfield we were thrilled. The school offers learning that is bespoke and meets our son's needs. All the staff are caring, loving and friendly. Our son now wakes up every morning excited to return to school. It is a weight off our minds knowing he is happy, having his needs met and learning.
Parent March 2024
Bedfield is an inclusive school that welcomes children from all backgrounds and with any ability. We believe that all children have a common entitlement to a broad and balanced academic and social curriculum that is readily accessible to them, and they will be fully included in all aspects of school life. The School’s Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENDCo) is Mrs Nicola Frolish she is contactable via the School Office if you have any questions.
All children are different and many children will struggle with their learning at some point and may need a little extra help. This is usually something that can be addressed through high quality personalised learning in the classroom and does not necessarily mean they have special educational needs.
If you are concerned about your child's progress, then it is best to have a chat with the class teacher about your concerns.
If we feel that your child may have additional needs and will require longer term additional support, we will discuss this with you and involve you and your child in how we go about doing this.
